FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. May we bring our own video camera to tape our wedding dance lessons?
A. Yes, you may. We encourage it as you will have your lessons on video as a practice tool as well as a memento. You can also use it in the future to remember what you have learned.

Q. Will you go to our venue for a practice with us?
A. While this may not be necessary, it may be a good idea if your First Dance has intricate choreography and/or a challenging venue. Extra charges will apply.

Q. Can we just take one quick lesson?
A. Yes. Our Drive Through™ packages are designed to meet your basic Wedding Dance needs when all you have is a couple of days prior to your wedding to prepare for your first dance. Even one lesson will make such a difference.

Q. Do we need to bring our song?
A. Yes, please bring a copy of your song on CD to leave here at the studio .

Q. We cannot decide what song to bring. Can you help us?
A. Yes, APWD can help you find a song that you both like during your first lesson. For inspiration, see our First Dance Song List on our Services: Client Resources page.

Q. Do you offer gift certificates?
A. Yes. Contact us for details. You can have part or all of your dance package paid for.

Q. Can we add Wedding Dance Lessons to our Gift Registry?
A. Yes. We can arrange that for you. Contact us for details. You can have part or all of your pre-arranged dance package paid for.

Q. Can you come to the wedding and teach our guests?
A. Sure! We will be glad to teach and dance with your guests. We suggest 2 dance instructors to teach a fun and easy dance during cocktail hour or the reception.

Q. What should we bring?
A. The Groom, LOL! Really, we are Groom friendly. It's all about relaxing and having some fun while learning. Please bring your song, shoes similar to what you will wear at the wedding (no flip flops or sneakers, unless you will be wearing those at your wedding). Bring your wedding shoes to dance in midway thru your dance package lessons. Prior to bringing them be sure to scuff up the bootoms of the shoes for more traction. If you are worried about soiling the shoes refer to our client resources for further info.

Q. How often should we attend classes?
A. Attendance is dependant upon your availability. Typically once a week will be sufficient. Try to schedule your lessons in advance to secure your ideal time slots.

Q. When should we get started?
A. Ideally your lessons should end at least a month before your wedding day. This allows for the unexpected and gives you enough time to take care of other wedding details. However, it is not always achievable. APWD prides itself in creating a memorable dance no matter your time challenges.
